Beyond the Lens

About Daniel J. Pico

Welcome to the heart of cinematic innovation and storytelling—welcome to the world of Daniel J. Pico. As a graduate of Columbia College Chicago with a BA in directing and screenwriting, Daniel's journey into the realm of filmmaking began at a remarkably young age. His first cinematic creation emerged when he was just 8 years old, foreshadowing a lifelong commitment to the art of visual storytelling.

With a profound love for the craft, Daniel has directed two theatrically released feature films, "Common Senses" and "Farewell Darkness." The latter not only graced international film festivals but also earned three Best Feature Film awards, solidifying Daniel's presence in the global cinematic landscape.

Having directed over 85 short films, music videos, commercials, and documentaries, Daniel's body of work is a testament to his versatility and dedication. His impact extends beyond the director's chair; he is a maverick editor and has played crucial roles in producing multiple feature films.

In the current chapter of his journey, Daniel served as co-writer of the the Gala Films/Exertion3 series "RZR." In addition to co-writing all 8 episodes, he directed the 6th episode of RZR season 1 “The Blood Dimmed Tide”.

Currently Daniel is in development on several feature and television projects.
